Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle. Once you're settled at the hotel, we will schedule a trip briefing at the hotel lobby or restaurant.
After breakfast, your guided sightseeing tour begins with a private vehicle and professional guide. You'll visit the following highlights:
- Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) – A UNESCO World Heritage Site perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the valley. It’s also known as the Monkey Temple due to the many monkeys that inhabit the area.
- Pashupatinath Temple – One of the holiest Hindu temples in Nepal, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. This sacred site is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
- Boudhanath Stupa – A 2,500-year-old Buddhist stupa and UNESCO site featuring the watchful eyes of Buddha facing all four directions. It's a major pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhists, who walk around the stupa spinning prayer wheels.
- Patan Durbar Square – Situated in the heart of Lalitpur, this historic square showcases exquisite Newari architecture that flourished during the Malla period.
After your city tour, we’ll hold a pre-trip meeting to review the full itinerary and details of your trek. If you arrive late the previous night, the meeting will be held the following day after your city tour. For documentation, please provide a copy of your passport, three passport-sized photos, and your travel insurance details.
To catch your flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, you'll need to wake up by 5 a.m and ride a tourist bus to Ramechaap where you board a scenic flight that offers stunning views of the Himalayan ranges and alpine landscapes. After breakfast in Lukla, begin your trek with a gentle descent through Chauri Kharka village toward Phakding. Along the way, you'll pass rhododendron forests and small mountain settlements. Since you are now above 3,440 meters, today is reserved for acclimatization to help your body adjust to the altitude. You’ll take a short hike to Everest View Point and visit the Everest View Hotel, situated at 3,880 meters—recognized as the highest-altitude star-rated hotel in the world.
From the hotel, enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kongde, Mt. Kusum Kanguru, and Mt. Nuptse. Nearby, you’ll also find the small Syangboche airstrip, offering a great vantage point for photos of Namche Bazaar.
You may also visit the Sherpa Museum to learn about local culture and traditions, and explore the adjacent National Park Museum, which provides information on Everest and the surrounding peaks. After the excursion, you'll have free time to relax or explore Namche at your own pace.
After your acclimatization day, you'll likely have a deeper appreciation for the Himalayas and Sherpa culture. Today, your Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek continues through Sagarmatha National Park, with the Dudh Koshi River still accompanying you along the way.
The trail levels out briefly after leaving Namche Bazaar, then begins to ascend after about 6 kilometers. Along the route, at Phungi Thanga, you'll pass water-powered prayer wheels. A further 3 kilometers brings you to Tengboche Monastery—the largest in the Khumbu region. After exploring the monastery, you’ll descend to Deboche village for an overnight stay at a lodge.
The day begins with a short descent through rhododendron and birch forests to the Imja Khola riverbed. From there, you'll pass the scenic village of Milinggo and arrive in Pangboche, home to a Buddhist monastery and surrounded by several chortens. The morning views from Deboche are stunning, offering clear vistas of Kangtega, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Taboche, Kwangde, Tengboche, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
As you continue, the landscape gradually shifts from the green slopes of Pangboche to the dry, alpine terrain of Shomare. Before reaching the cold and windy village of Dingboche, you may catch a glimpse of Mt. Pumori’s distinctive ridge from Orsho.
Today is the second acclimatization day of your 16-day Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. After breakfast, you can hike up the hill north of the village for stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. This scenic valley leads toward Island Peak and offers a pleasant afternoon trek.
Alternatively, you can hike to Chhukung Ri for panoramic views of Island Peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, and Tawoche. Another option is a trek to Nagarjuna (5,100m), where you'll be rewarded with sweeping views of the Chhukung Valley and peaks such as Kangtega, Taboche, Lobuche East, and others.
Today's Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek involves a gradual ascent to the Thokla (Dughla) Pass, followed by a gentle descent to Lobuche. Near the pass, you'll see memorial stupas and prayer flags honoring climbers who lost their lives on Mt. Everest.
Along the way, you'll enjoy views of peaks such as Tawache, Cholatse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Pumori, Nuptse, and Kusum Kanguru. From the Lobuche glacier ridge, you’ll also catch glimpses of Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, the Khumbu Glacier, and surrounding moraines. A short 20-minute walk will take you to the Italian Pyramid hotel for your overnight stay.
Today marks a historic milestone for trekkers reaching the foot of the world’s highest peak. The initial part of the Luxury Everest Base Camp trek is relatively easy, with minimal elevation gain until Gorakshep. The trail then becomes steeper as it follows the Khumbu Glacier toward Base Camp.
It takes about three hours to reach Gorakshep, situated above 5,000 meters. After a rest and lunch break, you’ll continue to Everest Base Camp. The area offers breathtaking views of the Khumbu Glacier, Everest’s summit, and surrounding ice-covered peaks. During spring, you may see climbers preparing to summit Everest and Lhotse. After visiting Base Camp, you will return to Gorakshep for the night.
Early in the morning, you'll begin the hike to Kala Patthar, which takes about two hours from Gorakshep. From the summit, you'll enjoy stunning close-up views of Mount Everest, especially at sunrise. After taking in the scenery, you'll return to Gorakshep for breakfast. Later, your Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek concludes with a helicopter flight back to Kathmandu.
This extra day in Kathmandu serves as a contingency in case of flight delays, bad weather, or health issues during the trek. If everything goes as planned, you can use the day to rest or explore and shop around the city.
Today, you'll depart from Kathmandu to return home or continue your journey to other destinations. We will drop you at the airport three hours before your flight. Thank you for joining us—we hope you had a memorable experience. Have a safe and pleasant journey!
