Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle. Once you're settled at the hotel, we will schedule a trip briefing at the hotel lobby or restaurant.
Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the city. Top attractions in the Kathmandu Valley include Durbar Square, with its narrow alleys lined with charming shops, historic temples, and local eateries. You can also visit Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), which offers panoramic views of the Himalayas to the north and the sunset over the valley.
If you're interested in a deeper cultural experience, consider joining our Kathmandu City Sightseeing Tour.
For your first meal, head to Thamel—a popular tourist hub—where you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants serving both Nepali and international cuisine. If time allows, visit Asan Tole, the city’s busiest market, full of vibrant spice, seafood, and vegetable stalls—perfect for photos and mingling with friendly locals. Don’t hesitate to practice a few basic Nepali phrases as you explore!
After breakfast, you'll take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, marking the start of your Luxury Everest Heli Trek. On clear days, enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas as the plane soars over valleys and ridges. Currently, most Lukla flights are rerouted to depart from Ramechhap's Manthali Airport, which requires a 3–4 hour drive from Kathmandu. If you prefer to avoid this detour—or the thrill of landing at one of the world’s most challenging airports—we can arrange a direct helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.
From Lukla, you'll begin a short, scenic trek through local villages, passing fellow trekkers, friendly locals, and yak caravans with jingling bells. The first day’s hike is intentionally easy to help you acclimate to the altitude. You'll follow a well-marked trail into the Dudh Koshi Valley and spend the night in Phakding.
After breakfast in Monjo, you'll begin the steady ascent to Namche. This day is challenging as you'll start feeling the effects of the altitude. Along the way, you'll cross several high suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River.
Beyond Monjo, you'll enter Sagarmatha National Park, established to protect the fragile mountain ecosystem. Your guide will handle the necessary permit payments here. If the weather is clear, you'll get your first glimpse of Mount Everest as the trail becomes steeper.
Upon reaching Namche, check into your accommodations and explore the area. Namche is a great spot to restock, with many stores offering food, hiking gear, and various eateries and pubs. If you're visiting on a Saturday, don't miss the market, where Tibetan yak caravans and Hindu traders from the lowlands gather.
Today, you'll tour Namche Bazaar, visiting attractions like the Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Culture Museum. The town's market also offers local handicrafts. Later, hike to the renowned Everest View Hotel, one of the highest hotels in the world. From every window, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Everest and its peaks, as well as Namche Bazaar below. Spend the night at the Everest View Hotel.
After an early breakfast, you'll be picked up from the Everest View Hotel for a private helicopter tour of the Himalayas. Enjoy aerial views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
Upon reaching Kathmandu, you have the afternoon and evening to relax or explore any sights you may have missed at the start of your trek. In the evening, join the Green Lotus Trekking team for dinner and share highlights of your memorable journey.
A private tourist car will pick up guests from the hotel and transport them to the airport three hours before the scheduled flight departure. You may also extend your trip by choosing an alternative itinerary.
