After an early breakfast, you’ll take a tourist bus to Pokhara to begin the Kori Himal Trek itinerary—a journey of about 6 to 7 hours. Along the way, enjoy views of the scenic Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, lush green hills, rocky cliffs, and small waterfalls.
Alternatively, you can opt for a 25-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara at an additional cost, giving you more time to explore the city. Pokhara is a stunning valley known for its serene lakes—Begnas, Fewa, Rupa, Dipang, Maidi, Khaste, Gunde, and Nyureni—and offers spectacular views of the Annapurna, Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Lamjung Himal ranges.
After breakfast in Pokhara, your Kori Hill Trek begins with a drive to Kaunkhola in a private vehicle. From there, a 4WD jeep will take you on a 4–5 hour off-road journey to Sikles village. The rugged, gravel road winds through hills, forests, rivers, and terraced farmland.
Upon arrival, the local community will warmly welcome you. Sikles, a picturesque village, offers excellent photo opportunities and a chance to experience Gurung culture and lifestyle. You can also visit the Chili Kohinbo Temple to learn about the Bon Po religion.
After a hearty breakfast in Sikles, you’ll begin your Kori Kaski trek, surrounded by stunning Himalayan views. The trail winds through oak and rhododendron forests, gradually becoming steeper and narrower. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of the River Valley and peaks like Machhapuchhre, Lamjung, Annapurna II, and Annapurna III.
The trek to Hugu Goth takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, depending on your pace. Once used for farming and grazing goats and buffalo, this area now welcomes trekkers. You’ll spend the night at Namaste Guest House 2 in Hugu Goth.
The trek from Hugu Goth to Nohtha takes about 5 to 6 hours. After crossing a wooden bridge over the Hugu Khola, the trail ascends through forests of fir, pine, and rhododendron. Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of mountain peaks such as Machhapuchhre, Lamjung, Annapurna II, and Annapurna III. With some luck, you may also spot wildlife like Himalayan Thar, Musk Deer, or Nepal’s national bird, the Lophophorus (Danfe).
You will climb to Kori hill (Danda) this morning after breakfast; the journey will take you 3 to 4 hours. Your journey to reach the Kori Himal ends here. The Manaslu Mountains on the east and the Annapurna ranges may both be explored from the Kori Danda. In the Annapurna area, you will have access to the same excellent vantage point as Poonhill from Kori Hill. You may take a short climb up to Thulake (4115 meters), where you can spend the entire day exploring Kori Hill. A lush meadow that serves as pasture space for sheep is a treasure on Kori Hill.
After breakfast, you’ll begin an early hike back to Sikles village—your final overnight stop in the mountains as per the Kori Himal Trek itinerary. You'll retrace your steps through dense rhododendron and oak forests, crossing several rivers via suspension bridges. Along the way, enjoy views of waterfalls and snow-capped peaks. After a 7 to 8-hour descent, you’ll reach the picturesque Gurung village of Sikles, where you can once again explore and experience the local culture.
After breakfast in the Gurung village, you'll return to Pokhara by 4WD Jeep, passing through charming villages along a rugged, gravel road that winds through hills, forests, rivers, and terraced fields.
