The sixth largest river in Nepal is the strong and striking Tamur. As amazing as the river Tamur itself is the landscape seen during the hike to the put-in location via the lesser-known eastern region of Nepal. Throughout the journey, there are just a few villages and a little amount of agriculture visible due to the valley’s forested sides. There is a lot of wildlife and great beaches for camping. You get the sense of being on a wilderness adventure when you raft or kayak the Tamur River!
The massive grade 4 and 5 rapids are thrilling and difficult. The amount of water guarantees continuous river activity.
Those who are adventurous and looking for something a little different from Nepal’s rivers would love the Tamur. Apart from the planned excursions to the Tamur, you can also plan a customized tour to suit your requirements. The Tamur is best paired with trekking in the Kanchanjunga region or visits to Chitwan National Park.
